Abstract

|
Compliant behavior characteristics in tuberculosis patient was investigated during July-October 1986 by Leininger¢¥s ethnography and hypothetical proposition of substantive theory was derived by Glaser & Strauss¢¥ grounded strategy in open-ended interview.
Seven conceptual categories and 42 related properties were summarized according to grounded data. Highly saturated conceptual category as core category was found to be `Family¢¥ including family role performance and spouse and family support as property.
From these result, it is hypothetically proposed that the degree of family role of patients is positively related to the frequency of keeping clinic appointment.
