A practical method for the calculation of the mean skin temperature

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to calculate the average skin temperature of 2 young men in an environmental temperature ranging from 15¡ÆC to 35¡ÆC.
The average skin temperature is obtained by measuring skin temperature at eleven different spots of the body and weighting the readings in proportion to the area of the body surface represented.
Another method, which is simpler than the above and we think is recommendable is to measure without weighting the skin temperature of the upper limbs.
The best formula is as follow:
Average skin temp. of upper limbs=((skin temp. of upper arm¡¿8.8)+(skin temp. of upper arm¡¿6.4)+(skin temp. of upper arm¡¿5.4))/(20.6)¡Ömean skin temperature if whole body
