Giantcell tumor on the distal part of left femur

Abstract
|
|
|
A case of adult, head sized giantceil tumor of left distal part of femur with ,characteristic clinical. X-ray and histological finding was presented and literature was briefly reviewed. The patient was 34 years old korean male. His complain was a painful swelling on his leftknee. It was adult headsized and persisted approximately for four years previously.
X-rayfilm of his Lt. knee shows severe bony distruction in distal part of femur with striking radiolucent appearence and expanded bony contour like an adult head.
Laboratory finding is not speific. Histlogic finding of biopsy shows a large number of multinucleated giant cells, and ovoidal or spindle shaped stromal cells are crowding around the giants dell.
A few mitotic figur was seen but no pathological fracture was seen.
