Abstract
Clinicopathological study was made on 21 testis tumors that were obtained during a period of 12 years, from 1960 to 1971, at the Department of Pathology and Urology, Yonsei University. The 21 cases of testis tumor are consisted of 18 malignant and 3 benign tumors and are classified histologically into 7 seminomas, 8 embryonal carcinomas, 3 teratomas, 1 reticulum cell sarcoma, 1 rhabdomyosarcoma, and I gonadoblastoma.
The mean age is 24.7 years, and 36.4 years in seminoma, 15 years in embryonal carcinoma, 17.7 years in teratoma, and 33 years in miscellaneous.
The tumors occurred more frequently in the right than the left. There¢¥s no bilateral occurrence.
The most frequent clinical complaint was painful palpable mass which were present in 6 cases out of 10 cases.
One case of seminoma is arisen from intraabdominal testis which seems frequently to precipitate tumor occurrence.
The other notable case is gonadoblastoma arisen in dysgenetic testis of true hermaphroditism.
