A Case of Diastematomyelia

Abstract
An unusual form of dysraphism is the longitudinal division of the spinal cord for a limited length.
There is difference of opinion as to whether the condition represents imperfect
duplication of the cord, or a separation. It is commonest in the lumbar region.
Herren and Edwards (1940) collected 42 cases of diplomyelia.
We present a case of diastematomyelia, treated in this hospital with the review of the literature.
