Abstract

Extravasation of contrast material from a branch-of the middle meningeal artery during cerebral angiography following head injury has been regarded by some to be diagnostic evidence of extradural or subdural hematoma. Furthermore, the two varieties of blood collections may coexist, thus showing on the angiog-raphic films atypical blood vessel displacements which are difficult to interpret.
Authors reported a case of subdural hematoma with extravasation of contrast material from a torn middle meningeal artery into the diploi, It was seen near the crossing of a branch of the middle meningeal artery and a fracture line.
