Two Cases of Aneurysmal Bone Cyst

Abstract
Aneurysmal bone cyst, a benign non-neoplastic lesion of bone containing distened channels or cavities filled with blood, is rare in skull. The pathogenesis of this lesion remains obscure.
Two cases of aneurysmal bone cyst of calvaria are presented. One affected the roof of orbit and extended intracranially. The other involved occipital bone as a peculiar cystic lesion containing herniated brain tissue. Diagnosis was made with. their blown- out findings of plain x-rays, surgical and pathological findings.
Total surgical removal was accomplished in both cases in one stage. The postope-rative outcomes were uneventful in both cases. Angiograms, computerized tomography brain scans and tissue pathology were presented.
