The Study in Characters in Muscle Extension and Flexion of Lower Limbs Sprinter

Abstract
The purpose of this study obtained from the data by using Cybex l, Was to investigate and analysis the characters in muscle flexion and extension of lower limbs in 15 male sprinters.
The results of these measurements were as fellows :
1. In left muscle flexion of lower limbs, foot muscle strength was increasing in rate of 88.6¡¾8.99 ft-Lbs, 94.0¡¾5.88 ft-Lbs, and 112.0¡¾15.75 ft-Lbs according that the speed of load was decreasing in rate of 240¢ª/sec, 180¢ª/sec and 50¢ª/sec respectively.
2. In left muscle extension of lower limbs it was also similar to the same pattern of muscle flexion of lower limb such as increasing 107.3¡¾12.03 ft-Lbs, 119.0¡¾6.60 ft-Lbs, and 171.3¡¾9.28 ft-Lbs along with decreasing rate in 240¢ª/sec, 180¢ª/sec and 60¢ª¢ª/sec respectively.
3. The difference of muscle strength of lower limb were significantly presented as below sceres in decreasing from 180¢ª/sec to 60¢ª/sec. (p<.01).
1) In right case, muscle extension were increasing such as 129.0¡¾6.60 ft-Lbs and 201.0¡¾9.26 ft-Lbs.
2) It was calculated 88.6¡¾8.99 ft-Lbs and 112.0¡¾15.75 ft-Lbs according to the rate of load speed as 240¢ª/sec, 180¢ª/sec and 60¢ª/sec in right muscle flexion of lower limb.
4. It was not significantly reported the difference of muscle strength between the rates of load speed such 240¢ª/sec and 180¢ª/sec.
5. But it significantly differ to the muscle strength between 180¢ª/sec and 60¢ª/sec.
In conclusion, it was found that elite sprinter have higher foot muscle strength of extension than that of flexion, although they have a better lower limbs muscle endurance of flexion than that of extension.
