An Anesthetic Experience of Pheochromocytoma

Abstract
We experienced recently an anesthetic management of pheochromocytoma and reviewed on definition, clinical picture, diagnosis and treatment with several articles.
We used diazepam 7 mg for premedication, ROHyphol 2.5 mg, d-Tubocurarine (dTc) 15 mg for induction and 50% N20, 0.5-1.0% Halothane, morphine sulfate, dTc, ROHyphol for maintenance of general anesthesia.
We experienced that hypertension and arrhythmias during surgical manipulation can controlled with NZO, Halothane and dTc, on the other hand, hypotension after removal of tumor can controlled with a little much more amount of fluids transfusion than the loss of blood and fuid avoiding the use of vasopressors and alpha-or beta-adrenergic blocking agents.
We considered that a anesthetic course of pheochromocytoma, operative morbidity and mortality for removal of this tumor would be no greater than that for any major surgical procedures.
