Clinical Study of Imperforate Anus

Abstract

|
Imperforate anus is a relatively rare Congenital disease, occurring one in 5,000 line births. The most important problem in the surgical management of this disease is said to be the incompleteness of postopepost operative regaining of the normal ano-rectal function. We collected 49 cases, which had been admitted and surgically managed during last 7 years from 1970 in Seoul national university hospital. The results were. (1) Male to female ratio was 1. 5 : 1 (2) Post operative complication were wound infection, aebout 12 case, post operative deaths was 3 patients. (3) In 32 patients, were operated within 1 week 5 cases within 1 month. 10 cases within 1 years 3 cases within 3 years.
