A Clinical Study on Tioconazole in Superficial Dermatophytosis

Abstract

|
|
A total of 25 cases of dermatophytosis were treated with 1% tioconazole cream. They were 11 cases of tinea cruris, 10, tinea pedis and 4, tinea corporis. The Mean duration of clinical improvement with negative in KOH was 2.3 weeks; 1. 9 weeks in tinea cruris, 2.3 weeks in tinea corporis and 2.7 weeks in tinea pedis.
The everage duration of negative conversion of KOH was noted 1. 5 weeks in the skin lesion infected by T. mentagrophytes or Candida albicans, 2.0 weeks in E. flocosum, and 2.9 weeks in T. rubrum.
