A Study on Relationship between the Attitude of Sex and the Experience of Sex


Abstract
The purpose of this study is to provide an basic information to administrate an effective sex education in colleges by referring to relationship between the attitude of sex and the experience of sex.
The subjects of this study were 200 students in Taejeon area and the investigation was conducted from 11 to 29 April, 1988.
The data of the research was analyzed with percentile, chi-square test by SPSS computer program. The results were as follows:
1. Attitude of Sex.
1) On pre-marital sexual intercourse¢¥, 50% students expressed approval and male students (70.0%) were higher than female students (30.0%) (p<0.0001).
2) 92.5% students agreed to `keep purity before marriage¢¥. Female students (98.0%) were higher than
male (87.0%) and showed statistically significant difference (p<0.0001).
3) 76.0% students answered `sexual activity is natural¢¥. Male students (86.0%) were higher than female
and showed statistically significant difference (66.0%) (p<0.01). 4) Heterosexual Acquaintance (Now)
(1) The order of heterosexual acquaintance types were `folded arms¢¥ (40.0%), `kiss¢¥ (21.0%), ¢¥sexintercourse¢¥ (12%), etc.
(2) The places of heterosexual acquaintance were `park or field¢¥ (35.0%), ¢¥confect-shop (20.0%)¢¥, `pleasure resort¢¥ (12.0%), `house (11.0%)¢¥, and `street¢¥ (11.0%), etc. 2. Sexual Experience.
1) 89% male students and 31% female students have experienced masterbation.
2) Frequencies of the masterbation were `below one times monthly¢¥ (34.1%), ¢¥two-three times monthly¢¥
(29.2%), `one time weekly¢¥ (25.0%), ¢¥two-three times weekly¢¥ (11.0%), and¢¥four-six times weekly¢¥ (6.7%), etc.
3) Psychological conditions after masterbation were `a state of lethargy¢¥ (43.3%), ¢¥refreshingness¢¥ (18.3%), `a guilty conscience¢¥ (11.7%), and `displeasure¢¥ (9.2%).
4) In frequencies of kiss the first rank was `an inexperienced¢¥ (59.5%), the second rank was over five times¢¥ (24%), and male students were more than female students and showed statistically significant difference (p<0.0001).3. Relationship between attitude toward premarital sexual intercourse and sexual experience:
There were meaningful correlation between the approval group toward premarital sexual intercourse and
`sexual intercourse¢¥ <0.0001), `Kiss¢¥ (p<0.0001), ¢¥masterbation¢¥ (p<0.0001), and showed statistically significant.
