Clinical Study on distribution of Hepatitis B Virus Makers in Physical examinees for employment


Abstract
The study was to determine the frequency of hepatitis B virus markers by methods of RPHA and PHA from January 1993 to August 1993.
Physical examinees for employment, 2850 who had visited to Taegu Medical. Center were subjected.
The results obtained were summarized as follows.
1. The HBsAg was detected in 249 among 2850 physical examinees for employment with the positive rate of 8.7%
The positive rate of HBsAg was higher in male (9.0%) than that in female (7.1%)
2. HBsAg Positive rate of physical examinees for employment with Liver disease was
1.2% Among the abnormal liver function tested in 34 cases (13.6%) of HBsAg
positive,the most frequent abnormal test was elevated ALT level, as 76.4% 3. The positivity of anti-HBs was 17.8 %
The positive rate of anti-HBs was higher in female (18.7%) than that in male (17.7%)
