CT and Clinical Study of Ruptured Cerebral Aneurysm

Abstract
Computed tomographic scan in 27 consecutive patient with subarachnoid hemorrhage due to ruptured cerebral aneurysm were analyzed for pattern of hemorrhage, lucency and correlated with development spasm and hydrocephalus. 59% of patient showed trace of various hemorrhage in cisterns(14cases), cerebral parenchyma(8cases) and ventricles (1 case).
Cisternal hemorrhage has not corresponded always to the fosse of aneurysm origins. But, When there was parenchymal hemorrhage corresponded in more specific ways to anterior communicating, middle cerebral and posterior communicating artery aneurysm. Radiolucency were often persistent and had lateralizing value.
They showed a high correlation with arterial spasm.
