Abstract
|
|
|
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of curing cycles and variant materials on the physical proper-ties of acrylic resin base.
Two kinds of hear - cure resins, a self - cure resin, and a light - cure resin were used for this study, and the heat - cure resins were processed by the methods of long and short processing.
The results were as follows :
1. In point of transverse strength, the heat - cure resin was the highest among them and the self - cure resin was the lowest.
2. The long processing method had a little higher transverse strength than the short processing, but there was no significant difference.
3. The surface hardness of light - cure resin was the highest, and that of self - cure the lowest.
4. The curing cycle was considered to have little effect on the surface hardness of studied heat - cure resins.
