An Explicit Approach of ITS Students Modeling

Abstract

|
An explicit and dynamic student modeling has been to decrease a noise of the student modeling, which is used in the process of diagnostics for the student¢¥s problem solving method in the Intelligent Tutoring System. Since an explicit student modeling provides more correct recognition of the knowledge for the student, than an implicit one, it guides a more effective and active tutoring in the process of diagnostics. In this paper, a "WEST2" system to coach two students is suggested on the basis of a simple game "WEST" originally for improving basic arithmetic and game skill.
