Effects of the Operating Parameters in Vessel System on Aerobic Composting of Food Wastes
Park Seok-Hwan

Abstract
This study was performed to define the effects of the lowest setting temperature and mixing condition on aerobic composting of food wastes in vessel system. The highest temperatures of reactors which were set by the lowest temperatures of 20, 30, 40 and 50¡É, were 33.8, 42.4, 51.2 and 61.3¡É respectively. The time of temperature ascending was delayed, the highest temperature was lowered by the decreasing of the lowest setting temperature. The highest temperatures of reactors which were set by mixing times of 10, 30, 60 and 120 min/day by l rpm, were 36.5, 43.7, 42.6 and 43.5¡É respectively. The highest temperatures of reactors which were set by aeration times of 1, 2, 3 and 4 hours by 100§¤/min¡¤§©, were 36.0, 43.2, 40.8 and 38.2¡É respectively. The highest temperatures of reactors which were set by volume ratios of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 L/L, were 43.7, 48.0, 50.5 and 47.4¡É respectively. The ascending velocities of pH and temperature were reduced, the highest temperature was lowered, the duration period of high temperature was shortened by the increasing of moisture content.
