Influence of Isonicotinic Acid Hydrazide on Impressibility(Memory)
Han Yong-Cheol

Abstract
A survey on the influence of INH and other associated derivatives with antituberculous action on the im-pressibility (memory)war conducted. The subject of the survey included 60 patients under INAH admini-stration for 1 month to more than 3 years, and 15 stu-dents each for INAH, Cyanacetic Acid Hydrazide and D-Glucuronolactone Iosnicotinykl Hydrazone (INHG) to whom these drugs were administered for 2 days and 15 students who served as control and standard.
The impressibility was markedly raised in patients when the INAH administration was stopped and was depressed again when the administration was resumed. The administration of INAH showed marked depress-ion but the depressive influence seemed to dissipate almost completely two days after the cancellation of administration in the student group. INHG showed almost identical but to a slightly lesser degree of, influence than INAH, and CAH showed no meaning-ful deviation from the control group.
From the above mentioned survey, the following conclusions were observed:
1) INAH has definite depressive effect on impressibility but the effect seems to be temporary and the effect seemingly has no definite relationship with the administered dosage or duration of administration.
2) CAH has almost no effect on the impressibility.
3) INHG affects the impressibility as well as the INH but to a slightly lesser degree.
4) In case of patients who needs to retain the impressibility during chemotherapy for tuberculosis, substitution of INH with CAH will be beneficial.
