Abstract
Visual display terminals (VDT) are generally in use in the occupational field for communication with increasing modern techniques. Among VDT workers the symptoms of the visual system, eye strai, headache with neck and shoulder pain and
psychologic
problems in addition to back pain, knee pain and also sometimes neurologic problems exist, and there have been reports about the increase of incidences of symptomatic problems.
Electromagnetic rays from cathode ray tube (CRT) and situations for VDT workers may affect the disturbance of sympathetic nervous system which could be associated with cervical and occipital pain. We used accommodometer which could follow the
accommodation of each eye and got a result of decreased accommodation & Ar/As ratio.
