Abstract
Multiple cartilaginous exostosis is a disorder consisting of multiple projections of bone (exostoses) capped by cartilage. The lesions are most numerous in the metaphyses of long bones, but may appear on diaphyses of long bones. Osteochondroma (exostosis) can be sporadic or inherited and the etiology remains speculative. We saw a patient who had multiple cartilaginous exostosis and took an Ilizarov external fixation for tibia fractures and distal femoral osteotomy, Three months later we found a newly-formed cartilaginous exostosis along the Ilizarov pin site and we report it here.
