Abstract
This research developed from the recognition that those with mental disorder are the major victims of mass media report. Through multiple testing of the ¡®media-watchdog program¡¯, mentally disabled people and those without disorder voice complaint against the problematic report of mass media to the reporters or the broadcasting stations. Based on modification of multiple testing, a more systematic program model was developed. In addition, intervention research was applied to promote direct supply of the model to the field. Participants of the program have monitored and responded to media depictions of mental disorder using the standard to filter the media report and ways that found to be effective in the analysis of previous researches and case studies. As a result, part of the media has corrected and apologized for their report. And most important of all, significant change in participants¡¯ perception and attitude has been reported. Finally, tasks have been suggested based on the research result.
