Validating Factor Structure and Measurement Invariance of the Korean Version of the Beck Depression Inventory-¥± : Focusing on College Student Sample
Park Byung-Sun

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to validate measurement invariance between male and female groups by identifying the factor structure of the Korean version of the Beck Depression Inventory-¥±. For this, data from 357 college students were utilized to perform analyses such as exploratory, confirmatory, and multiple group confirmatory factor analysis. The exploratory factor analysis yielded two, three and four factor structure models(model 16-1, 16-2, 16-3). Based on the previous research, a series of confirmatory factor analysis was conducted with 15 model types(model 1 to 15) and model 16. Lastly, although the measurement invariance for model 16-2 that best fits the data was verified, it showed that the configuration invariance was not maintained between male and female groups.
