Abstract

|
The dissolution test, weight variation test and content uniformity were performed to compare pharmaceutical properties of various hospital and commercial tablets.
Seven hospital tablets used were amitriptyline HCI, haloperidol, imipramine HCI, perphenazine, furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide and prednisolone tablets, which were manufactured by Anam Hospital, Korea University Medical Center(KU). Thirteen commercial domestic tablets were used. Weight variation and content uniformity of all the tablets was respondent to the requirement of USP ¥¹¥¹¥²23.
Dissolution of seven kinds of tablets was respondent to the requirement of USP ¥¹¥¹¥²23 except two brands of amitriptyline HCI tablets. Therefore it was concluded that seven kinds of KU hospital tablets had similar pharmaceutical properties with respective commercial brands.
