Studies on the Hepatit is B antigen and antibody in psychiatric patients

Abstract
|
|
|
Sera of 2897 cases with the HBsAg (antigen) and HBsAb (antibody) confirmatory cheked from Jan., 1986 to Nov., 1987 in Seoul National Mental Hospital were tested to determine the´ frequency of HBsAg and HBsAb by Serodia Passive Hemagglutination method. The results obtained were summarized as follows:
1. The HBsAg positive was 61 cases (3.83%) and the positive obtained HBsAb were 73 cases (4.59%) among the tested 1592 cases in 1986.
2. The HBsAg positive was 78 cases (5.98%) and HBsAb positive obtained were 218 cases (16.7%) among the tested 1305 cases in 1987.
3. In this Data of HBsAg positive rate 3.83% in 1986 and 5.98% in 1987 was a low rate than the other reported HBsAg positive rates 0-16% in Korea.
