Research participants were 91 students and their mothers, and the research instruments were Palmore(1988)¡¯s FAQ I and Sanders et al.(1984)¡¯s semantic differential scale. The major findings were that knowledge on aging for the middle aged women scored significantly higher than their daughters, but attitudes toward elderly people for the students were significantly more positive than their mothers, and there was a significant correlation between the knowledge and the attitudes only from the middle aged women. The findings were discussed in the context of developing social education program on the elderly for the middle aged women and young generations.
