Abstract
Objective: The effect of acupuncture treatment on low back pain is already known, but the effect of GCM(General Coordinative Manipulation) treatment isn¡¯t. So we tried to examine the effect of GCM treatment on low back pain compare with acupuncture treatment.

Methods: 14 patients with low back pain of Dept. of Oriental Rebilitation Medicine were divided into two groups(8 patients in GCM group and 6 patients in acupuncture group) and treated 12 times by acupuncture or GCM. We measured VAS, PRS and PDI scores for individual patients and then compared the effect of treatment with the other groups.

Results and Conclusions: After study, the average scores of VAS, PRS and PDI decreased in all groups. The volume of decrease was large in GCM group but, statistically significance wasn¡¯t between two groups. In this clinical study, GCM treatment was effective in low back pain but statistically significance wasn¡¯t compare with acupuncture treatment.
