A Study on Linkages Health and Welfare Services in Home Care for the Aged

Abstract
|

|
This study tries to contemplate the defined problems and tasks after performing the model-project for liking public health and welfare services for the aged recently. This study recommended as the case of policies with regard to the in-home care services for the complex need of the elderly as follows.
First, it is required to build the service system independently that combines entire resources in the local community for affiliation and integration of the elderly welfare related health-medical care services.
Second, it should prepare the man-power network which might help cooperate their work for the home care health and welfare services for the elderly, together with administrative offices, 119 ambulance, community center, hospital, elderly facilities, elderly hospital etc.
Third, securing rich health and welfare resources, such as paid in-home service workers, adult day-cares and short stay services, is urgently needed. And highly trained case managers have to be cultivated for escalating the effectiveness of joining health and welfare services.
Last, few suggestions are made to access the service easier for the elderly and to reorganize the PR system for those who have not exposed for the welfare services for the aged yet.
