Abstract
76-year-old woman visited our hospital with progressive neck pain and occipital headache started the day before. She had a past medical history of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and pulmonary thromboembolism, but no cerebrovascular disease or trauma. Brain MRA showed a 1 cm sized left extracranial vertebral artery saccular aneurysm in the V3 segment. After endovascular coil embolization, her neck pain was improved. Careful evaluation including brain vessel study should be done on the elderly patients especially with unusual neck pain and headache.
