Abstract

|
Exercise has been important intervention in the diabetes mellitus (DM) management. The goal of exercise intervention has been to control blood glucose as well as improvement of insulin sensitivity and prevention of DM complication. Blood glucose consumption status may be changed according to exercise intensity, duration, patient condition. Therefore, exercise should be recommended to patients with predicted blood glucose control. The quantity of exercise and intensity would be determined through trial and error since the physical variations such as current condition, fitness level, exercising habit and so on differ person to person. Knowing the different blood glucose control during exercise between DM patient and normal person may increase the quality of patient education.
