Diagnosis and Treatment of Temporomandibular Disease (TMD)
Hong Jung-Pyo

Abstract
Clinically, many patients complain their pain on their TMJ (Temporomandibular joint) area in the stressful situation. The signs and symptoms of TMD seem to be very common in the general population. To manage TMD effectively, the clinician should recognize and understand its functional anatomy, general symptoms, causes, and diagnostic techniques etc. Although the definite mechanism of TMD is not clear yet, to understand the relationship between emotional stress and TMD will be implemented for the improved diagnostic and efficient therapeutic strategies.
