Abstract

Sleeping with neck-extended position is a possible cause of root injury. But outcome of conservative treatment in this kind of cases have been rarely reported. We report two cases of cervical radiculopathy after prolonged sleeping in patients with cervical foraminal stenosis. Eventually, both patients demonstrated nearly full functional recovery. More reversible strength deficit in these cases than any other cases of root injury suggests mainly a resolving conduction block type root injury with little degrees of true structural damages to the motor axons
