Abstract

|
|
Low back pain, a common symptom through the whole life, especially for the aged, has much recurrence rates and chronicity. Unlike in young people, degenerative lumbar spinalpain usually developed from multifactorial causes in the aged. Moreover, an obvious pain origin often cannot be distinguished in the degenerative lumbar spine. The present review provides an overview of low back pain originated from disc and vertebral body during degenerative cascadeand the strategies which may prevent development and aggravation of symptoms.
