The Current Uses of IPE and its Future Directions for Effective Vocational Rehabilitation Businesses in Korea
Choi Gug-Hwan

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the current use of IPE in vocational rehabilitation and to provide positive directions for effective rehabilitation businesses in Korea. 75 rehabilitation personnel from vocational rehabilitation businesses participated in this study. The questionnaire was developed by the researcher with aids of other rehabilitation professionals. The study showed that most of the respondents provide services for people with mental retardation, and 63% of the study participants had experiences to fill out the IPE with 50% of the personnel using IPE currently. For the forms of IPE, most of the participants responded to use self-developed IPE forms in their own institutions, followed by using other forms of IPE. The education for the development of IPE was found to be given by their own personnel in the institutions and the education rated as being mostly satisfied. However, the lack of available IPE forms, the absence of helping professionals for the IPE education, and the lack of business rationale in related institutions, were found to be the problematic areas. The future directions for the effective vocational rehabilitation businesses in Korea were discussed.
