Abstract
This study was to investigate the trends of job-opportunity, job-hunting, and employment of people with disabilities in terms of gender, age, types of disability, and occupational category, and to exam highly-ranked occupational categories based on the korean version of dictionary of occupational titles. The data was recruited during the years of 2003 to 2007 through WORKNET, a Korea portal web-site. The results indicated that job-opportunity, job-hunting, and employment of people with disabilities were gradually increased each year. Women with disabilities have shown less active in those variables compared to the men with disabilities, and the differences were found in terms of types of disabilities, employment rates, and occupational categories. Most highly-ranked occupational categories were simple and repetitive work categories. Conclusions and implications were discussed.
