The Influence of Disability Discrimination on Depression : Focused on the Mediating Effect of Disability Acceptance and Moderating Effect of Interpersonal Support

Abstract
The objective of this study was to verify the mediating effect of disability acceptance and the moderating effect of interpersonal support on the relationship between disability discrimination of daily living and depression. To achieve the goal, ¡®2011 Disability and Employment Panel Survey Data¡¯ was utilized for analysis. SPSS were applied in technical statistics, and the Regression Analysis was performed. The results of the study were as follows : (1) Disability discrimination had a positive influence on depression. (2) Disability acceptance was mediated between disability discrimination and depression. (3) Interpersonal support was moderated between disability discrimination and depression. Based on these findings, I got the information as follows. The more the disabled had experienced some disability discriminations in daily living, the more depression appeared. The confirmation that disability acceptance and interpersonal support was excreted as a mediator or a moderator that can decrease depression between disability discrimination of daily living and depression was very significant. At this situation, I proposed some plans to decrease depression through disability acceptance and interpersonal support elevations
