Qualitative Research on Supported Employment Practice Experience of Job Coach

Abstract
This study aimed to search developmental direction of supported employment as interviewing the problem and dilemma experience of job coach about supported employment practice from view point of post-management service. The data collection consisted from March to May, 2014 and consisted of deep-interview through four persons in charge of supported employment of two national organizations and five social workers who take charge of supported employment. This study analyzed the collected data through grounded theory of the qualitative research. The result of this study is as follows. The centered phenomenon of experience of job coach appeared as difficulty of supported employment practice. The causal factors were difficulties of job training on person with disability who have various needs, task-overload and burnout of job coach, lack of awareness of supported employment. The contextual factors appeared as responsibility of part-time staff, relation between job awareness and job adaptation, evaluation system, gab and confusion between researcher and practicer. The mediation factor appeared as improvement of evaluation system.
To conclude, job coaches thought to need understanding education about supported employment, service of professional full time worker, qualitative evaluation index, division of works which consider each organs¡¯ features, unity of view point between academic world and field staff about supported employment for development of supported employment, especially for post-management service.
