Institutional Practitioners¡¯ Recognition and Actual Status of Job Support for Students with Disabilities

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the support status of employment of students with disabilities by examining the actual situation and recognition of the support of institutional practitioners after graduation of students with disabilities. For the purpose of this study, 105 practitioners were asked to complete questionnaire. First, the special education before the employment was the most in the post-management institution, and the utilization institution and the information acquisition for employment were the general welfare center for individuals with disabilities and the employment agency for the individuals with disabilities. Second, it was suggested that faculties were necessary to provide employment support to students with disabilities. Above all, it was necessary to hire full-time human resources and provide budget support. Finally, in terms of recognition on vocation of students with disabilities, the level of recognition was positive. And there were significant differences according to sociodemographic variables of institutional practitioners such as age, type of workplace, career. Based on the results of this study, the supportive measures that should be provided for students with disabilities after graduation were discussed.
