Current Research Trends of Women with Disabilities: Focusing on Domestic Academic Journals from 1999 to 2020

Abstract
This study explores the current status of some personal and social problems that women with disabilities will face through literature research, and among the articles published in domestic academic journals related to women with disabilities, from 1999, when the ?Welfare Act for Persons with Disabilities? was revised. By 2020, a total of 92 articles in 28 journals were analyzed in terms of research topics, research subjects, and research methods to suggest the direction of research needed for women with disabilities in the future in terms of gender cognition. In the results, first, looking at the trend of publication frequency by grouping the period from 1999 to 2020 into five-year units, it can be seen that the largest number of studies were published in the journal from the late 2000s to 2013. Second, by subject, the largest number of studies related to ¡®economics and employment¡¯ of women with disabilities were followed by ¡®daily life and social life¡¯, including quality and satisfaction of women with disabilities, and articles related to ¡®marriage and parenting¡¯. Third, when looking at the results of analysis by research subject, most of the studies targeting disabled persons and their families accounted for 92.4%(73 articles). Fourth, by research method, most of the articles used quantitative methods(60.0%), and lastly, Looking at the analysis by type, direct surveys accounted for 58.2%(46 articles) and studies using secondary data accounted for 41.7%(33 articles).
