Purpose : The purpose of this study is probably significant to compare and analyse the occupational therapy insurance fee of the Korea and Japan.
Methods : Since the commencement of the government health insurance program in 1977, there has been criticism that the national insurance fee for health care service had been set poor by the Korean government. But they are not reflecting the current health care environment. This is threatening the survival of the occupational therapy profession that is essential for rehabilitation process. So, the differences of the occupational therapy in the government health insurance program were compared in both countries.
Conclusion : We found the problem in a few individual items of insurance fee, less treatment time of occupational therapy, low cost of insurance fee schedule.
