A 2?implant?retained mandibular overdenture represent a treatment option for mandibular edentulism. Compared to a conventional complete denture, an implant?retained overdenture needs more detailed treatment planning. To guarantee suitable vertical and horizontal space for final restorations, thorough consideration is essential about the 3 ?dimensional position of the implants. The use of radiographic surgical stents with cone beam computer tomography can help to place implants in an adequate position. This clinical report describes an edentulous patient with severely resorbed mandible restored by implant overdenture and Locator attachment with digital 3D imaging and planning system.
