Intra-rater and inter-rater Reliability of Ultrasonography with Modified Cranio-Cervical Flexion Test(CCFT) in Asymptomatic Subjects
Park Jun-Hyung

Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate Reliability of Ultrasonography with Modified Cranio-Cervical Flexion Test in Asymptomatic Subjects.

Method: This study concerned 30 healthy students, who met the selection criteria. The subjects were adequately trained on the CCFT exercise and the pressure was sequentially increased from 20 mm Hg to 40 mm Hg in increments of 5 mm Hg. The cross-section of the longus colli was photographed using an ultrasonography tool while maintaining each stage for 10 seconds. Measurements were taken twice by 1 rater and once by a 2 rater. The test interval was set at one week. A re-test was done using the same method. The intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), used to evaluate repeatability, test-retest reliability, and consistency, was analyzed.

Results: The result of inter-rater reliability and intra-rater reliability was each that the ICC ranged from 0.77 to 0.92, 0.78 to 0.92, evincing high intraclass correlation.

Conclusion: Suggesting that this is a reliable measurement tool for examining the activity of deep muscles using ultrasonography.
