Abstract

|
This study is a case study of play therapy administered for 32 sessions to a nine-year-old boy living in an orphanage since his birth. He was referred to the therapy for impulsive aggression which made it difficult for him to live with other children at the orphanage. Full Battery was conducted to determine whether to continue counselling. The major objective of the therapy was to address development difficulties of the child and build a new strong relationship based on the
experience of understanding. The counselor received supervision during the sessions to understand the developmental and environmental needs of the child. After spending a long time with the counselor, he started to share and open his mind and showed regulatory behaviors even when he struggled with the counselor.
