Abstract

|
In general, cardiac surgery has been performed via median sternotomy. During the past decade, improvement in endoscopic equipments and operative techniques have resulted in development of the minimally invasive cardiac operation
using small incisions. Today minimally invasive mitral valve surgery has become standard practice for many surgeons and robotic systems are gaining wider adoption.
