Abstract
In Korea, the 'Elderly Immunization Program against Influenza' has been implemented since October 2015. To improve accessibility, convenience, and safety of vaccination, the program has been expanded to provide free vaccination to the elderly (65 years and older) at private sector as well as public health sector. From October 2015 to January 2016, 81% of a total of 5,452,984 elderly people aged 65 and older were vaccinated. The total number of reported adverse events following immunization was 25 cases and there were no reports of severe adverse events. About 93.8% of respondents in the influenza vaccination satisfaction survey were "satisfied" with the influenza immunization services provided in 2015.
