Abstract

With the development of molecular biology and biotechnology, it is now possible to identify the characteristics of individual single cells by looking at the quantitative genomic changes. To look at individual single cell genome, amplification and sequencing techniques should be combined. The characteristics of single cells produced by next generation sequencing (NGS) technology are a combination of the characteristics generated by the amplification technology and the common characteristics of the existing next generation sequencing data, thus, a variety of bioinformatics views are required to analyze this data. In this article, we reviewed the background and limitations of bioinformatics methods used for single cell genome analysis.
