This aim of this study was to investigate the oral health care behaviors, perceived oral health status, and happiness index among some university students. For this study, a survey was conducted among 300 university students located in Gyeongsangnam-do, from July 1 to August 5. The study subjects were selected by a non-probability sampling method. The survey was composed of 7 questions on the general characteristics of the study subjects, 11 questions on their oral health care behavior, 9 questions on their perceived oral health status, and 3 questions on their happiness index. SPSS 20.0 and the descriptive statistics analysis, t-test were used. Correlation analysis was conducted with a significancy level set at 0.05. There was a positive correlation between subjective health status and a positive happiness index (r=0.197, p=0.000), and a negative correlation between the subjective oral health index and a negative happiness index (r=-0.235, p=0.000). Therefore, this study showed that there is association between oral health care behavior, perceived oral health status, and the happiness index in some university students, including the development of oral health programs for this population.
