Effects of Online bibliodrama on Self-Esteem and Sociability for Elementary School Students

Abstract

|
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a online bibliodrama on self-esteem, and soiability the 6th grade students in elementary school.
Methods: The study was a one-group pretest-posttest design. The participants were 23 students in I metroplitan city. The students received the online bibliodrama for 1 session a week over 6 weeks. Data were collected from April 21th, to June 9th, 2021 and analyzed using paired t-test with the SPSS/WIN 23.0 program.
Results: After attending the online bibliodrama, significant differences were found between pre and post test in sociability (t=-2.72, p=.012).
Conclusion: The results indicate that online bibliodrama is an effective intervention to improve sociability in the 6th grade
elementary school students. Further study will be required to develop the continuous and systematic program of the online bibliodrama, and a quasi- experimental research design with control group is necessary.
