Lee Myung-Woo
Abstract
This study is to examine the differences in parent-child communication according to the reactive characteristics of the Father figure, Mother figure, and self figure to the Parent-Self-Centered-Drawing (PSCD) of High School students. The research subjects are 200 students(98 men, 102 women) who are currently in the 1st grade of academic high school in H District, C Province. For data analysis, the SPSS/WIN 12 statistics program was used and converted to Frequency and Percentage in order to investigate general characteristics of the research subjects. The reliability coefficient by internal consistency is obtained to verify the reliability of measurement. In grading pictures, the Pearson Corre -lation coefficient is adopted for consistency between raters, adopted one-way ANOVA and t-test to examine picture reactive characteristics of PSCD. Also the relationship between Parent-Child communication and adopting Scheffe¡¯s -test for post-verification. Results of this research are as follows:First, the differences of Father-Child communication according to the reactive character -istics of the father figure to the PSCD of high school students has shown a significant difference in facial expressions. Also the number of positive symbols, the number of negative symbols, distance between the figures and the direction of the figures. Second, the differences of Mother-Child communi -cation according to the reactive characteristics of the mother figure to the PSCD of high school students that show a significant difference in facial expressions and the number of negative symbols. Third, the differences of Father-Child communication according to the reactive characteristics of the self figure to the PSCD of high school students has shown a significant difference in the number of positive symbols. Fourth, the differences of Mother-Child communication according to the reactive characteristics of the self figure to the PSCD of high school students. These have shown a significant difference in facial expressions, the number of positive symbols and the number of negative symbols.
