In stroke management, beside acute treatment like as intravenous thrombolysis, interventional thrombolysis and acute revascularization, secondary treatment should be considered. As a secondary treatment drugs, anti-platelet drugs and anti-coagulants have been used worldwide. Despite extensive use of preventive drugs, there are some remained adverse complication in these drug medication. In elder cerebrovascular patients the incidence of combined risk factors like as diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia is relatively high, therefore the management for these risk factors is essential. All treatment plan for the elder cerebrovascular disease patients should be applied cautiously.
