The Comparative Study on the Difference of Service Convenience in Medical Institution

Abstract
The study developed the scale to measure medical service convenience by modifying and compensating the scale on the service convenience developed in the retail sector and identified the differences in the shapes of the medical service convenience which patients recognized in the general clinics and the general hospitals. First of all, frequency analysis and factor analysis were conducted based on the survey and the comparative analysis was performed through t-test to verify the research hypothesis. The summery on the verification result of the hypothesis and strategical implications are like below. At first, the scale measuring the service convenience developed in the retail sector was re-established. Second, as the transaction convenience, post-benefit convenience, and experience convenience showed the meaningful difference between the general clinics and the general hospitals statistically at the 0.05 of significance level, the hypothesis of the study was selected. Through this, it provides the useful fundamental materials to reinforce the competitiveness of
hospital under the excessive competition and rapid changing medical environment by providing segmentalized medical service and identifying the role which has to be strengthened and compensated for the patients¡¯ satisfaction with the enhancement on the service convenience of each medical institution.
